Wow, for the way the weather was of this shoot(50s and raining), these girls did an amazing job! I had a super hard time narrowing down the photos to these five. There are so many great ones. Everyone rocked it! Plus, everything just came together for our 15 minute session. Thanks for being great sports!

samuel charles gerlach-3.24.10

At 7lbs 15oz, baby g finally arrived. He's known now as Samuel Charles. I was blessed enough to be one of the eight people to hold him on his official first day.

The new mommy and daddy are doing great but tired. They are super happy to brag about how 'advance' their little guy is.

The new Grandpa and Grandma Wenning were all smiles and laughter holding Samuel, as was I.

Its amazing how tiny and light Sam is. All those blankets are quite deceiving. Plus he never actually woke while I was there. Now, that's sound sleeper! That's not to say that he didn't keep his parents awake all night though.

Well, I want to wish Laura and Adam the best in parenthood. Have fun!!

kylee-2 years old

It just seemed like yesterday that I took Kylee's 18mth photos. As always, Kylee did great. I think that she made us work more for these photos but for a two year old, I couldn't have asked for anything better. Plus, I got to use my awesome new backdrop! Thanks for all the expressions and don't grown up too fast, Kylee! You're too cute for two!

Awe... the prim and proper. I think every shoot calls for this shot. It really captures what Kylee looked like at 2. All the way down to her shoes! :P

Cupcake Baby Ella

Ella was a doll! I couldn't be happier with her..... She came in to 'model' for the St. Henry Bake Shoppe ad and so I am needing everyones help to pick the best cupcake photo! Also I had to ad these first few too. She is just so stinkin cute!

My big sister's gonna be a momma!

I am going to be a aunt!

This is the time when I feel truly blessed to be a photographer. I love taking photos of people in general but nothing can top taking photos for your family. I get to capture great memories but get to make so many more while photographing those memories. We laughed and laughed while figuring out how to capture Laura's belly bump. I don't remember the last time I had so much fun during a session. Plus we also had some great parks and SNow to photograph in. I love the snow. More people should have their pictures taken in the snow.

salt & pepper

I am so in love.... with my awesome new salt and pepper shakers. Yep, when you get older, you love the little things and I love these. I dont even really like fresh ground salt and pepper so they are basically decoration. However, this way they stay clean and cute!

I really like how he is like, "Yo, pay attention to me." but she's like, "Huh? You talking to me?" lol..... Girls Rock!

I think that I was also drawn to how retro they can be. I refuse to let my house get cluttered so I wanted little things that make a big impact!

booger- the puppy

This adorable little girl is my friends Rachel's newest addition to their family. We both agree that she needed puppy photos. You can tell we barely got them because her ears are just starting to pucker up.

I had such a great time during this fun but challenging shoot. Booger was not afraid of anything. I honestly think that she thinks she can fly! Well at least fly off of a table but, as you can tell, we captured some great photos in the process.

Such a good puppy! Rachel just started teaching her to sit and Booger is one fast learner. I am also loving this background. It brings the girl out... :)

I wanted to try this action out. I love the feel it gave to a photo. I also think that the position of Boogers head and the angle of the shot really made the photo and action work nicely together.

As a part of my new years resolution, this is the post for the week. Lets call this week #2. *

Week #2 is all about what I am loving right now.

I love this blog. Knock of wood (http://knockoffwood.blogspot.com/) is a amazing. This chick is a rock star and inspiring for every woman. Rachel had introduced it to me a couple of days ago and its been bookmarked and view daily since then. I am going to leave the rest of the details out so you can check the site out for yourselves. Have fun!

Secondly, I love food. I love all kinds but especially deserts. This is my latest creation. It's as great as it's not so great to look at. With a little sugar, karo white corn syrup, peanut butter and corn flakes; you get this amazingly chewy corn flake yumminess. Enjoy!

Lastly, I love my shaggy puppy. I had to take this photo because next week he's going to have eyes yet again. He's going to the groomers. He will see once again. :) I will miss the shag....

andrea + brad

Andrea and Brad are getting in just a few short months. So clearly, we had to get those engagement photos done.

It was a bit cold outside but I am confident that things went well. After my nose unfroze, I was able to view the photos and just loved them.

I really liked the colors of their sweaters and how they mesh with nature. I think that simple is always better and they pulled off these engagement photos beautifully!
